Lyoto Machida vs Rashad Evans was a great fight. I think any UFC fan knew that the first round would be a "feeler" round where both guys would test each others timing. The 2nd round had a faster pace with both fighters exchanging more freely.
Lyotos unpredictable timing and elusive style got the better of Rashad who was knocked out by a punching flurry by Machida. I must say, I have so much respect for Rashad, he was definitely hurt after the first 2 shots but was fighting back on pure will and heart.
Lyoto overall looked very sharp and impressive.
I am going to have to say Quinton "Rampage" Jackson is going to be an interesting opponent for Machida. Definitely another great fight I am looking forward to.
Matt Serra vs Matt Hughes was a good fight with Matt Hughes winning by unanimous decision. I thought it should have been a split decision in favor of Hughes, but that is just my opinion.
Also Frankie Edgar looked great against Sean Sherk, I can see Edgar moving up quickly and being close in line for a title shot in the light weight division. His win over Sean Sherk definitely elevated him greatly up the light weight ladder.
