Nintendo is coming out with a new handheld, the DSi. Basically the successor of the DS Lite. It is suppose be thinner, have a larger screen, a camera, SD slot, and a quicker recharge on it.
It is able to play DS Games, but will not have the ability to play Gameboy Advance games. This may mean that DS Lite users that play games for the Gameboy Advance will need to hold onto their DS Lite as well.
Additionally, the PSP has been doing better on sales lately and is starting to outsell the DS Lite in some countries.
Personally, I had a PSP and currently have access to a DS Lite. From playing both handhelds, you can tell that they are gauged to different audiences. The PSP is definitely for gamers who care about graphics and higher-end technology, where as the DS Lite is gauged for average Joes who aren`t concerned about crazy graphics and other bells and whistles.
I personally think the DS Lite is funner then the PSP, but I am also disappointed that Nintendo didn`t attempt something more innovative with their new DSi, like maybe some type of Wii integration.

Wow psp beating a nintendo... GO PSP xD haha and yeah I feel u on the wii integration, because the PSP is able to be used as a controller for the PS3
