UFC 113 was a pretty good card.

Although I was hoping Kimbo was going to win, I was impressed with Matt Mitrione, he fought very well and showed improvements in his ground game. Kimbo is a tough guy and a hard worker, but his loss shows that maybe it's a bit late in the game for him to become a dominate MMA fighter, at least at the UFC level. Following UFC 113, Dana White has cut Kimbo Slice from the UFC.

Additionally, Josh Koscheck definitely out worked Daley with his awesome take downs and his veteran presence in the octagon. Regardless of the trash talking going on before and during the fight, Daley was out of line for throwing a cheap shot at Koshceck after the fight. Even in the post fight interview, Koscheck was still giving a lot of credit to Daley as a fighter, but it doesn't matter, Daley is out of the UFC forever according to Dana White.

Shogun impressed me with his cage aggression as well as his sportsmanship against Machida. Not only did he dominate Machida with some solid ground and pound, but Shogun saw that his opponent was unable to defend himself and stopped his attack well before the ref ended the fight. This was to ensure no unnecessary damage would be inflicted to Machida. If Shogun continues to fight like this, not only is the Shogun of old back, but possibly an improved version.

Belcher & Stephens has impressive performances as well. This card overall was much more entertaining than UFC 112.
