For a few months now I have been using the Monoprice DRM-1712F DVI Switcher. If you are looking for a way to use 1 monitor for 2 sources, then this is for you. Note: This is for DVI capable sources only.
I believe they have a 4 channel switch as well, but the DRM-1712F has only 2 channels.

The quality of the unit is very good, durable medal, everything feels sturdy, including the DVI ports and buttons on the front. In addition, the unit has LED indicators to let you know which source is in use.
Switching between my Macbook Pro's DVI port and my Desktop PC is a breeze. The only gripe I have, which is not with the unit, but with my Mac is that when you switch from the external DVI on my Macbook to my desktop PC's DVI, the Mac does the screen fading thing that you get when you plug/unplug monitors/projectors into the DVI port. The "fade" takes a couple seconds, so it is annoying if you are constantly switching between 2 sources. Again, this is a Mac thing and the device performs perfectly. If you were to use this on 2 PCs, the source transition will be instant.
Overall this is a great device, perfect for users like me who use a LCD monitor as a secondary screen (extended display) for their laptop, but also have a desktop PC at the same workstation that they also need to use.
Obviously this is not a KVM, so you cannot share keyboard/mouse with this unit, but for pure video switching, this is perfect.
