Samsung A737 Review

Update - After using the phone for a few months, one major gripe about the phone is how slow it gets when your text message inbox fills up, if you get like 100+ messages in your inbox you will notice some huge slow downs, you will have to periodically clean out your inbox and outbox to avoid the phone lagging up when trying to access your text message features.
So I recently picked up a Samsung A737 phone and I must say I like it a lot. Prior to this phone I had a Blackberry 8700c. You may be thinking, man that was a step down! (Actually that Blackberry model is dated anyhow.)
My 8700c had horrible reception almost everywhere I went to. Even though it could run on the Edge network, that did not help my reception much at all, I was still missing and dropping calls all the time.
Anyways, I was about to give up on AT&T, thinking that it was not my phone and just my network. But before I did, I decided to give 3G a shot and got this Samsung A737 phone. It was free with my 2 year contract extension.
The reception is now excellent in all the same areas where it was very poor. (My home office, garage, etc...)
Obviously, I miss my keyboard on my Blackberry, but in terms of call quality, the phone is great. It's not a PDA or Smartphone, but if you are doing things like AIM, text messaging, and even watching TV on your phone, its nice.
I like the slide feature which also acts as a lock/unlock for your phone, so you don't get "butt" dialing.
My only gripe is I wish the speaker phone was a bit louder. However, it does have bluetooth capability so you could use it on a bluetooth speaker phone to alleviate that.
Overall a good phone for everyday use, but not the phone for you if you do alot of web surfing or get emails to your phone (although I think it has e-mail capability), the built in browser is "okay" to say the least. But if you are a user who just wants a reliable phone with a strong signal using the 3G network, this is the phone for you.
