Colorvision Spyder2express Review

Feelthefunk.com For a year or so I have been using the Colorvision Spyder2Express to calibrate my monitors. I have used it on a Macbook Pro with a secondary LCD Monitor as well as my PC using and LCD monitor and most recently a CRT monitor.

Once you have the right setup in your home/office: no desk lamps beaming on monitor, blinds closed, etc..., the Spyder2Express does a pretty good job of calibrating your monitors.

It does take a bit of time to finish, I believe 5-7 minutes or so.

When I am doing graphic related work, I want to make sure that colors I see on my screen are going to be accurate to the colors on what most screens should see, that is why I bought it.

My only real gripe about this product is that it doesn't have really good dual screen support, I should actually say it has no dual screen support at all. I have had to do a bunch of weird things such as mirroring my extended display and putting the calibrator on that screen with "decent" results.

I think they should have a screen asking you to choose which monitor you would like to calibrate opposed to just detecting the primary monitor.

Other then that, it was a lower end solution, I believe I paid $70-$80 for it. So its good for the price.
