Left 4 Dead Hints and Tips

Many of you guys probably got Left 4 Dead for X-mas. Since most of us have been playing for awhile, here are some in-game tips:
Closets, closets, closets
When you are at a game finally, try to find a closet where the zombies cannot break the walls into. Put 2 players up front who kneel down and shoot but also push away zombies who get close. The 2 players in the back are standing and can also heal the guys in front of necessary. When the tank comes, try to light him on fire and wear him out from a distance. After he dies, re-ammo up and run back in the closet.
Friendly Fire
This is your worst enemy, make sure that you have a team that is talkative and is aware of everyones line of fire. It is annoying when you get shot in Expert mode because you take a huge amount of damage compared to Advanced and Normal mode. I have found that whoever is in front and fires into rooms should always kneel at the doorway. This allows the guys behind him/her to fire over them.
Versus Tips
If you are playing versus, a good strategy with the boomer is to stand around the corner of doorways where the team has to go into it. If you stand real close and barf on the first 2, most likely someone will shoot you and get hit with more barf.
The smoker and boomer work well as a team. If you can get a smoker to drag a survivor near a boomer, this is a good time to barf on them. It also throws the survivors focus off allowing hunters to jump in and pick them off.
When using the tank, the best thing to do is to knock each survivor down individually and let your hunters pounce on them when they are done. Also if you are using the tank in the Blood Harvest finale, a good strategy I saw was to keep the tank in the fields (if you get him that early), and taunt the survivors by hurling boulders at them. I have noticed that players do not want to get close to the tank and will stay stationary for awhile. If this is the case, put a smoker out in the field with the tank and have them drag the survivor closer to the tank so the tank can either hurl a boulder at them or smash them. This also is a good time to sneak a boomer from behind while the survivors are focused on the tank in the field.
Also, if there are cars and logs around, use them to launch at the survivors, it is a very effective way to kill the survivors.
Kill the tank
To easily kill the tank, have the survivors go into a small room and unload on the tank with auto-shottys, most of the time you can kill the tank without it damaging anyone, if the tank does hit one of the survivors, don't scatter, the remaining 3 survivors will kill the tank if they keep focus firing with auto shotties. People say other guns work too, but I like auto shotties the best to kill the tank.

No Mercy Level 1
The first level of No Mercy starts you off on the roof, if you want you can jump off the roof onto an AC unit in the alley. You will take half life damage, but it may be worth it in versus to speed through the level.
Kill the witch in 1 shot
They say you are suppose to creep up behind her with a shotgun and when she turns to look at you, you have to nail her in the face. You have to be as close as you can get to succeed. I pulled this off using a regular shotgun, aimed right at her face.

I must say that is a very informative post.
I always thought i was the shit and at the end when the horde comes I would commando it from above a truck or anything high. I would be able to shoot the zombies, but a smoker would grab me and pull me into the horde. Very well put together ling; I want that which achievement too.
