Green Ranger (Jason David Frank) Successful Pro MMA Debut

Looking back when I was a kid, I remember watching Power Rangers in elementary school and I still remember when the Green Ranger came on the scene. He was a pretty awesome martial artist and he had a flute that would summon a huge-ass dinosaur when things got heated.

Now about 15+ years or so later, Jason David Frank, who played the Green Ranger, is testing the MMA waters and off to a strong start. He is currently 4-0 as an amateur and just recently won his pro debut fight.

In a weird parallel, its kind of like seeing WWE guys coming to MMA, their personas that wrestling created for them are now tested when they get put into an MMA cage. Similar to how the Green Ranger character follows Jason, his persona follows him into the cage and people are not seeing Jason David Frank fighting, but they are seeing the Green Ranger.

Fortunately for his fans, Jason David Frank has a had a great start in MMA and with his success further adds to the "mystique" of the Green Ranger —  who was a bad ass.

One thing is for sure, if he ever went up against the likes of a Brock Lesnar, he may need to use that flute.
