Beginning around 1999, Feelthefunk.com was originally hosted on my COX Cable account and was called Feelthefunk.cjb.net. Primarily used as a site to post about Ultima Online, parties, and other news going on within my group of friends, Feelthefunk.com was a small site with little traffic.
Around 2001-2002, Jesse (DJ Mex), got into video editing and used Feelthefunk.com to promote and stream his movies. He did a bunch of music videos and some other complilations. I also shared interest in video editing and made a few crappy news casts with my old Pentium II.
Feelthefunk.com stuck around for a few years transitioning from layout to layout but always was centered around my group of friends.
Roughly in 2006, Brian, used Feelthefunk.com as a Counter-Strike:Source website and had much success with it. These were the biggest times for Feelthefunk.com in terms of hits and exposure. But just like all good things, it fizzled out, due to a lack of interest and time on our parts.
So in all it's glory, I have decided to return Feelthefunk.com to its humble origins and use it as a multi-purpose site where I can blog about whatever I find interesting, post friend related news, and just have a site where people can feel apart of. Thanks for your interest in Feelthefunk.com
Looking through the archives, Feelthefunk.com has gone through a few face changes over the years, here are some titles I dug up:
Although not very important to others, I have can pin point where I was at my life when I came up with these titles, many of them embarrassing to look at so many years later.
The layout of Feelthefunk.com has never really been too impressive, just always been straight to the point. (Which explains the simple layout it has today.) Here are some very old screenshots of past banners, navigations, and other stuff I dug up.
A template off Dreamweaver MX, my mom bought me Dreamweaver and I was pretty stoked.
This nav was actually done in Flash, with some corny animation.
An early promo picture of one of Jesse's first music videos, I believe this was "Holla Back" by Fabulous. Another embarrassing time in my life.
Our late "teens" and early 20s accounted for many parties, we use to have an events page listing these.
A place I use to put my CD reviews and various Videos we did, this was back in the day when Youtube wasn't around so you had to either open the video in Window Media or Quicktime Format.
A picture Jesse did for us back in the day, I forgot what this was for.
This was done about 5-6 years ago, I went nuts on this one, it was actually kind of cool, used embedded video in Flash to make a cool animated banner.
Many of you guys who learned about us during the CS days will remember this layout. The most popular time for FTF, yet the most stressful and annoying.
A header I did when I was in college, I had to do a photo shoot for an art class, so I used the model in the header.
A journal header.
