2012 Movie Review

I recently saw 2012, the movie about the destruction of civilization on Earth.



The story is based on the idea that the Mayans were correct with the calendar ending in 2012. I really enjoyed the special effects and that action that the movie came with. Overall, a few points in the movie were a bit slow, but I feel were necessary to ensure continuity throughout the film.

John Cusack did well to carry the movie. I think in some parts of the movie however, his care free personality was a bit over played, especially in scenes where he was about to risk his life. But again, he is a likeable character that people will pay to watch.

Overall, it is an action packed movie that makes you think "What if". I was really impressed with the solution that the world came up with to keep mankind alive. Although this movie probably won't have a sequel, the way it ended makes nerds like me think about how they are going to re-build, etc...

A good movie, check it out.
